German Medical Award 2020 and Medtronic Diamond Award 2023; thousands of ablation procedures performed.

Dr Noureddin Sawan is one of the most prominent and well-known consultants in the field of cardiac electrophysiology in Germany, where he served as Director of the Department for Cardiac Electrophysiology in academic hospitals.

His influence reaches a global scale, leading to frequent invitations for consultations, complex procedures and training of other doctors across Germany, Switzerland, Russia, Kazakhstan, the Middle East and East Africa. He is also frequently invited as a speaker at international conferences.

In recognition of his contributions, he was awarded the German Medical Award 2020 for pioneering an algorithm for complex arrhythmia and ECG analysis. He also established an electronic platform for collaborative discussion of heart rhythms across multiple German hospitals.

His skills earned him the Diamond Award 2023 from Medtronic for successfully treating more than 1,000 atrial fibrillation patients with ablation, and he has performed thousands of ablation procedures for a wide range of arrhythmias.
